Melipeuco, which mapudungún translates as “meeting hipped”, is in the region of La Araucania in southern Chile.
Undoubtedly the main attractions of Melipeuco are the imposing Llaima Volcano, the beautiful Conguillio National Park and the wonderful glacier Sollipulli among others.
To get to Melipeuco you must arrive at the city Santiago de Chile, 675 km south connect with Temuco capital of the Ninth Region of Chile and then continue your journey to southeast 60 km Cunco, then 35 km to arrive at Melipeuco, throughout this section it is paved and in good condition.
